Accessible WordPress Website — Outwest Care NDIS Provider
Industries
🎯 The Challenge
Outwest Care is an Australian NDIS registered provider offering community lifestyle support and disability services in the Hawkesbury region of NSW. They needed a full WordPress website built from scratch — styled to afford.com.au as the design reference, with all content migrated from their existing outwestcare.com.au site. The single most important requirement was a fully functional accessibility toolbar allowing visitors to switch between high contrast, dyslexia-friendly fonts, larger text, reduced motion, and screen reader optimisation modes. For a disability support provider, this was not a cosmetic feature — it was a functional requirement for the organisation's actual audience. A new dedicated landing page was also needed for a new service: the Hawkesbury Dementia-Specific Hub, a specialised day program for people living with dementia, including a Register Your Interest contact form.
💡 Our Solution
Built the complete website using WordPress and Elementor Pro, styled to the afford.com.au design reference — warm colours, clear service cards, prominent CTAs, and a layout designed for an audience that may be less digitally confident. All pages from outwestcare.com.au were migrated and restructured into the new design. The Hawkesbury Dementia-Specific Hub landing page was built with full brief content — four program tile sections (Memory and Cognitive Support, Art and Creative Expression, Gentle Exercise, Specialised Dementia Activities) — with the NDIS Registered Provider badge and Outwest Care logo placed per brief. WPOneTap Pro accessibility toolbar was installed using the client's provided licence key and plugin file, configured with the full mode set: high contrast, dark mode, dyslexia font, text size increase, reduced motion, cursor enlargement, and screen reader optimisation — visible as a floating button on all pages. WPForms integrated across all contact and enquiry pages. Site migrated to GoDaddy hosting after staging approval.
🏆 The Result
Full WordPress website delivered and confirmed live by client. All pages from the existing site migrated into the new Elementor Pro design. Hawkesbury Dementia-Specific Hub landing page live with all program content and Register Your Interest form. WPOneTap Pro accessibility toolbar active with full mode set on all pages. Client confirmed: "Yes, website is live. Thank you. I will have a new project for you soon." Project was the second consecutive engagement with the same client — the first being the Simply Doors and Windows WooCommerce build — confirming the ongoing relationship built through consistent delivery and clear communication across both projects.
