Custom Card Game WordPress Website in Elementor — Like It Or Not Games
Industries
🎯 The Challenge
Like It Or Not Games had a physical party card game already selling on Amazon but no website to represent the brand. They needed a bold, entertainment-first site that felt like a hybrid of three competitor card-game websites — on a lean $80, three-page budget.
The build had to avoid a full online store. Since all sales happened on Amazon, WooCommerce would have added unnecessary cost and maintenance. The client also wanted to approve everything before it touched their own hosting, and they weren't ready with WordPress access at the start.
On top of that, the project involved several rounds of highly specific visual feedback — hero framing, colour consistency, spacing, mobile centring and real card imagery — all of which had to be executed cleanly without breaking the design.
💡 Our Solution
I built the entire site in Elementor on my own staging server so the client could review a live URL with zero setup. Rather than installing WooCommerce, I redirected the Buy Now buttons straight to their Amazon listing — keeping the site fast, cheap and low-maintenance. I reworked the boxy red hero into a wide horizontal banner featuring the card box centred with surrounding cards, and set up interactive flip animations using front-and-back images of four real game cards. I standardised the site to a single darker red, trimmed excess vertical spacing, corrected About-page copy, and fixed mobile/tablet centring issues so the layout held across breakpoints. Once approved, I migrated the site to the client's live WordPress domain and handed over admin logins, with two months of post-launch support included.
🏆 The Result
The project was delivered on time after agreed extensions and accepted with a 5-star review plus a tip. The client wrote: "Thank you so much. You have done a great job! You were always patient and understanding of what I was communicating. And you completed everything I asked for." Her review added: "Excellent work and delivery! Thank you for everything." She later returned for maintenance guidance after relocating states, calling me "the best." Like It Or Not Games now has a fast, on-brand site funnelling traffic directly to its Amazon store.
