🎯 The Challenge

LEEMO already had a live WordPress site running Google Ads, but the owner felt it looked unprofessional and lacked credibility next to premium competitors like Blacklane and limotak.com. The gaps were in the details: weak hero buttons, uneven spacing, an unstructured fleet section, and Trustpilot reviews instead of Google.

The client was a startup with a limited budget but high design expectations, which created constant tension between ambition and cost. He also wanted a long-term developer, not a one-off job.

On top of design, the stack itself created friction. A free Astra theme capped header and menu customisation, a free reviews widget limited us to ten reviews, and WP Rocket caching made the site render inconsistently across browsers.

💡 Our Solution

I proposed a phased path: redesign the homepage first, then commit to the full site once approved. This protected both sides on a tight budget. When the client wanted a fully custom coded platform, I quoted it honestly at $580 and, when he declined, rebuilt the same look on WordPress and Elementor instead.

The fleet became the centrepiece, rebuilt as a tabbed layout with per-vehicle cards, exterior and interior photos, descriptions, and a "Perks" list. I integrated the Limo Anywhere iframe booking widget by swapping the sample company ID for the client's own endpoint, and trimmed the extra whitespace it introduced.

For performance, I moved the site from WP Rocket to NitroPack to stabilise cross-browser rendering while holding PageSpeed scores near 86 mobile and 99 desktop. I also rebuilt the footer with member-of logos and reworked the mobile, tablet, and iPad layouts repeatedly for a clean responsive experience.

🏆 The Result

The revamp delivered two 5-star Fiverr reviews and a $45 tip. The client wrote that the work "EXCEEDED my expectations with impeccable professionalism and attention to detail," and separately that it was "Amazing work and very professional… Above and beyond."

The bigger outcome was retention. He returned for paid maintenance in December 2024 and across 2025, said "we will continue to work," and referred a friend's business plus another contact. Measurable impact includes a stabilised, faster site, a structured fleet with working booking links, and an 18-month client relationship built on honest scoping and responsive support.
