🎯 The Challenge

The client needed a fully automated subscription and booking system for a scuba diving school in Lima, Peru, using Culqi — a local Peruvian payment gateway with no native WooCommerce Subscriptions support. The system required three membership tiers with different dive day allowances, booking validation based on active subscription status, a minimum lock-in period, plan freeze functionality, and a complete Spanish-language interface — all built without disrupting the existing WordPress and Divi website.

💡 Our Solution

We integrated two premium Culqi plugins (Pago con un Click and Culqi Suscripciones) to enable automated monthly recurring billing. Three membership plans — Bronze (S/. 539), Silver (S/. 890), and Gold (S/. 1,190) — were configured with individual dive day limits, upgrade paths, and cancellation rules. A custom member dashboard was built at /my-dashboard displaying subscription status, remaining dive days, and billing details in Spanish. Booking validation logic was implemented to restrict reservations to active subscribers only. A PWA was configured for mobile app-like access. The full interface was localised in Spanish including policies, checkout fields, and FAQ content.

🏆 The Result

Delivered a fully operational, self-sustaining membership ecosystem live at pacificdivers.pe. Automated Culqi recurring billing runs monthly across all three plan tiers. Members manage their subscriptions, bookings, and plan upgrades independently through the custom dashboard. Four separate malware incidents were detected and resolved during the project, with the final production build migrated from a clean staging environment. The client confirmed all flows working and the system went live on April 30, 2026, with post-launch API support completed through May 17, 2026.
