WordPress Sticky Header Fix — Reimagined Antiques TX
Industries
🎯 The Challenge
Reimagined Antiques had a WordPress Elementor site built by a previous developer with several specific problems: the header was a basic white bar sitting above the hero image rather than floating transparently over it, there was no sticky scroll behaviour, and the new professional logo from a graphic designer was not applied. The homepage first section had been built by the client himself using a single HTML column widget simulating a two-column layout — which broke at different desktop browser widths and failed completely on mobile. The site also had active WooCommerce-to-eBay and WooCommerce-to-Facebook Commerce API integrations that could not be disrupted, and an SEO siloing structure the client and a freelancer had invested significant time in. A full rebuild was not an option — targeted fixes within the existing Elementor structure were required.
💡 Our Solution
Built a new sticky transparent header using ElementsKit header builder — configured to sit transparently over the hero image with no white space, switching to a solid background on scroll for readability. SVG logo applied upper left, favicon updated from ICO file provided by graphic designer. Homepage first section rebuilt using Elementor's native two-column container system — replacing the single HTML column with separate properly responsive column widgets for text, image, and HTML blocks, preserving the visual layout exactly while giving each element correct breakpoint behaviour. Mobile-specific widgets created separately to allow independent editing at mobile breakpoints without affecting desktop layout. Mobile hamburger menu empty dropdown fixed post-delivery. Mobile submenu dropdowns under parent navigation categories fixed as a follow-up. Full website audit report delivered covering site-wide responsive and SEO observations.
🏆 The Result
Sticky transparent Elementor header live via ElementsKit — logo correct, no white space over hero, navigation crawlable by Google. Homepage first section displaying correctly at all desktop widths and on mobile. Mobile hamburger menu and submenu dropdowns confirmed working. SVG logo and favicon applied. Client confirmed: "You deserve and are awesome, thank you for everything and we will be in touch ongoing for SEO and coding." Committed to ongoing support relationship for all future web development and SEO work as the business grew toward profitability.
