🎯 The Challenge
Malta Fight Co. had a WordPress Elementor website that had grown organically over time — pages added as the business expanded, resulting in accumulated typography and spacing inconsistencies across 15+ pages. Fonts varied between pages without a consistent system. The navigation menu did not use the site's primary typeface. The testimonials section on the homepage used a different font treatment to the rest of the site. The footer showed app download buttons misaligned relative to the social media icons. A site-wide design cleanup was needed without a full rebuild — budget and timeline did not allow for it. Concurrently, a time-sensitive Open Weekend event page needed to be live within 24 hours, and a structured blog section was required for SEO and partnership announcement articles.
💡 Our Solution
Phase 1 — Typography Harmonisation ($120): Applied Sydney font consistently to all headings and navigation across all 15 menu pages using Elementor Global Styles, overriding conflicting inline and widget-level styles page by page. Applied Bahnschrift Semibold Semicondensed as the standard body font throughout. Restyled the testimonials section to match the site font system. Restructured the footer so app download buttons sit correctly beneath the social media icons. Delivered within 48 hours — client paid an on-time bonus.
Phase 2 — Event Page and Blog System ($185): Built the Open Weekend event page with hero image, gym deals section, taster class details, and a full Saturday and Sunday class timetable with individual Book Now buttons linked to booking URLs from a Google Sheet. Removed the page from the main navigation per client request. Set up a blog section with a homepage featured articles widget and full archive linked from the Combat Sports navigation. Created three initial partnership articles. Designed a reusable blog post template with Sydney headings, Bahnschrift body text, image placeholders, and a CTA box — giving the team a consistent starting point for every future article.

Typography consistent across all 15 pages — Sydney headings, Bahnschrift body text, matching navigation and testimonials. Footer correctly structured. Open Weekend event page live before the weekend with full timetable and working booking links. Blog section active with featured articles on homepage and full archive. Reusable blog template in place for all future content. Client confirmed: "I'm very happy with the overall work — I'm pleased to confirm I will be paying the agreed bonus for finishing on time." Second phase confirmed after the first delivery. Ongoing relationship with further work discussed including partnership article content with two brand partners.
